Select Recommended Dimensions for Facebook’s Background Banner in Canva
Return to Canva dashboard.
Choose 'Create a Design' and then select 'Custom Size'.
Set the width to 1640 pixels and the height to 924 pixels because it is the best size for a Facebook cover.

Method for Making the Facebook Cover Photo Responsive on All Devices
Now let’s learn to make it responsive on both mobile and desktop screens. Ensure that the Facebook background picture adapts to both mobile and desktop screens for better responsiveness.
So, access the “Uploads” folder in Canva and upload the template photo (the one you downloaded from Dozro site) to Canva. After uploading bring it over to a design page and stretch it full.

Copy the template and paste it over your FB cover design page. Reduce its transparency so that your own design should also be visible behind it.
Check if important element on the cover are hidden by profile picture on Facebook mobile.
To rectify this, delete the template photo.
Move the crucial elements to the correct position to ensure they are visible on both mobile devices and computers.
Congratulations. You have created a cover image for your Facebook page in perfect size for all devices.
Download the Facebook Cover
It's time to save your Facebook banner. Click on the Share button at the top right corner of the screen, then choose the Download option. Select the desired design page and save the FB cover in JPG or PNG format.
Upload the Cover on Facebook
Open your Facebook page and upload the cover photo. You do not need to reposition the cover because it will fit well in the designated container.
Your created Facebook Cover will display in full width and height on mobile screens - nothing will be obscured. However, on computer, little portions of the upper and bottom sides will be cropped out.
Your Facebook page profile picture also hides some portion of the cover when seen on mobile devices. It is not any fault in your design of the cover photo. It occurs due to the default containers for Facebook Cover which are different for mobile and desktop devices.
