Microsoft Edge Web Capture Screenshot Tool – Settings Location, and Tips
Microsoft Edge Web Capture is a handy tool to take screenshots while browsing web pages. You can take screenshot of an image or text or any part of the web page. You can also take screenshot of the whole web page.
How to Display/Hide Web Capture Tool in Toolbar of Edge?
You can pin the Web Capture in the toolbar of browser for quick access.
Navigation Location: Click Ellipsis or three dots … on top right of browser window to access ‘Settings and More’ (or press Alt+F) → Settings → Appearance → Select which buttons to show on the toolbar: → Web Capture.
Just toggle the button to display or hide in web browser toolbar. Web Capture symbol looks like a camera icon.
How to Use the Web Capture Tool?
Click on the icon of Web Capture in toolbar. A dialog box appears, giving you two options either to capture the specific area on page or take screenshot of the entire webpage. Just click on any relevant option.
You can easily take screenshot of the full web page in single click, including that area which is not yet visible to you. For this option, just select ‘Capture full page’ from the dialog box and hurray, the tool has taken screenshot of the entire webpage. Here, you have the option to draw, write some note or erasing it. You can copy it and then paste it in supported applications such as Microsoft Word document. You can also share it into other applications.
To share the screenshot, just click on ‘More Options’ or three dots and click on Share. Here, you have the options to share the screenshot to email, your phone, or other editing applications such as OneNote or Snip and Sketch, Where you can edit the screenshot as you like. You also have the option to add the captured screenshot to any of Collections folder.
Personally, I like the Snip & Sketch tool which comes in wide editing options than this Web Capture tool.
