Problem of Disorder in Positions of Blocks in Fluid Engine
If in computer layout of the Squarespace website builder, each heading is on the top of the section but in mobile phone layout it can mix-up or change the order and position of blocks – for example text block, image block, video block, and site button.
It may send headings on the bottom of the section in mobile layout. Fluid Engine Squarespace editor can also send the video or image below the website button – as shown in our video tutorial for Squarespace fluid engine. It may also decrease the width size of text block. Fluid engine may also destroy the shape and dimensions of the image.
Solution – Manual Rearrangement of Blocks
To solve this issue, please open the mobile layout of your Squarespace website and rearrange the blocks by dragging and dropping.
To fix the position of heading, body text, button, image, and video blocks in Squarespace Fluid Engine Squarespace editor, you can click above a block and then use the ‘UP’ or ‘DOWN’ arrows to quickly move the block at a desired location within a section.

Other Limitations of Squarespace Fluid Engine
It is noteworthy that spacer block is not available in Squarespace Fluid Engine. Although in most cases, it is not required due to drag and drop functionality of fluid engine editor. However, I noted that in some cases, spacer block is still useful while designing website in Fluid Engine Squarespace – creating anchor links.
I experienced a minor problem while creating anchor links on a page. In classic editor, when you click the ‘+’ icon, and add ‘Code Block’, the text block of code, automatically takes full width, making it is to enter the just and you are are done.
However, in Fluid Engine design, after adding the ‘Code block’, its text entry block, appears in a square shape which becomes a nuisance when you have to enter many anchor links on a page. It should appear by default, horizontally with full width. I will request the Squarespace developer team to look into this suggestion.
Precautions while using Fluid Engine Editor
You should keep in mind some little considerations while editing a webpage in Squarespace Fluid Engine.
For any changes in rearrangement of blocks in mobile view, will not affect your design in computer layout of Squarespace site. In other words, arrangement of block position in mobile layout are saved independently from computer layout. However, if you add or remove some text, or change text color, it will globally affect content – It will also apply on computer website.
Therefore, I suggest that you should making any changes in text and other content, only through computer layout.
Overall, Fluid Engine Squarespace is a great addition in easiest website editing experience in Squarespace.
