Google Chrome Performance and Speed - Pro Tips
You can access performance settings in Chrome browser at below navigation.
Click three dots … on top right corner of screen in Chrome browser → Settings → System and performance.

I keep the toggle turned ON next to ‘Preload pages for faster browsing and searching’ option. You can access the tweak here: Chrome Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data. In Chrome Android mobile, follow this navigation. Settings → Privacy and security → Preload pages.
I keep toggle button turned ON next to ‘Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed’ option. You can access the tweak here: Chrome settings → System. You can turn it OFF, if you have limited internet data package.
Here, I also turn ON the toggle next to ‘Use hardware acceleration when available’ option. It will enhance your productivity in resource demanding apps, opened in Chrome browser such as Canva app.
I don’t block third-party cookies because according to Google prefetching of webpages is automatically disabled when third-party cookies are blocked. [RD]
I use updated version of Chrome browser. You can access the setting here: Chrome Settings → About Chrome.
If chrome is slow or often crashes, it might be due to other resource demanding programs or websites running in your computer. Therefore, try closing Photoshop, video editing software and YouTube, when you are not in using them.
I turn OFF or remove unwanted and unused extensions in Chrome. You can access the tweak here: Click three dots … on top right corner → More tools → Extensions. You can also use ‘Task Manager’ to end process but do it carefully and avoid crashing of an important extension.
I command chrome to scan my computer. You can access the setting here: Chrome Settings → Advanced → Reset and clean up → Clean up computer → Find. Click ‘Remove’ option if Chrome finds any malware in your device.
I delete cookies, cache and other data if I notice slow performance of my device.
Boost system memory of your device especially RAM and SSD. Also consider adding a graphics card in your device.
