Filmora Motion Tracking - Method to Track and Name a Moving Face

Through Filmora Motion Tracking tool, various elements such as images, videos and texts can follow the movement of any one element or background layer.)

If I want to mention the name of a moving player in video (please watch tutorial video), so that the name text moves with the movement of player, then I will use the Filmora Motion Tracking tool.

Click on the background video in timeline. Now select the AI tab in the Editing Window on right side panel. Scroll down and turn ON the toggle button of Motion Tracking.

Now bring the motion tracking box (having + symbol and in Player window) over the desired position you want to track such as head of the player (person). Adjust its size through its corner handles.

Now select ‘Click to Start Motion Tracking’ button. It will analyze the motion tracking movement.

Now add a text box in timeline and replace its text and text color in Editor Window.

Click on the motion tracking layer. On the right-side panel (Editor Window), under Motion Tracking, click on the arrow under Link Element. Now click and select the name of text element. You can look name of the element inside timeline.

Set the desired position of text.

Now you can playback to check the required results.

To turn OFF the motion tracking, just toggle OFF the Motion Tracking button.

If you want to apply pan and zoom or any other animation (such as blur) to the video clip, then follow the next steps.

You can zoom in and zoom out of a video clip by clicking Crop tool and selecting Pan & Zoom option. You can also do it through Filmora keyframing tool.

After zooming, export the video clip and delete it in timeline after export.

To only export the specific clips, select them in timeline, right-click and then click on Export Selected Clips option.

Now import the same clip again in Filmora. Now click the clip and select AI Tools. Here turn ON the Motion Tracking and click to start Tracking. Adjust tracking position.

Now add a text or image and link it under Motion Tracking.

Playback and you can watch to see that motion tracking is following the zoom variations.
