ChatGPT vs Bard vs Gemini – Analysis of the Brand Names and Chances of Success

As per my research and profound experience in brand naming, both ChatGPT and Bard are not ideal brand names. → Watch Video Tutorial below.

Both brand names, the ChatGPT by Open AI and Bard by Google, have one common drawback. That is lack of sufficient vowel letters in respective brand names.

Each brand name has only one vowel letter, that is only A letter in ChatGPT as well as in Bard. I have concluded in this video that company names having vowel letters have more possibilities of success, where you can look that most successful companies in the world (example Google, Honda) have at least two vowel letters in brand names. Most successful company names also end with a vowel letter.

ChatGPT vs Bard - Prospects of Success through Analysis of Brand Name

Due to lack of enough vowels, both ChatGPT and Bard are not easy to pronounce.

Bard name is confusing to speak – some may speak it as “Baard” and some may speak it as “Bird”. A brand name should must have clarity in speaking.

However, Bard has a better advantage over ChatGPT, because Bard is a comparatively short brand name, consisting of single word of 4 letters. Whereas ChatGPT is a long brand name of 7 letters, and we know that short and single-word brand names - for example Tesla, Sony - have better prospects of success.

In fact ChatGPT is a non-brandable name, and some people will say it ChatGPT but most will speak the Chat and GPT separately as it is evident from the user search queries in Google Search. Most people search ‘chat gpt’ and even some have searched it as ‘chat lgbt’. It manifests that ChatGPT is difficult to speak and difficult to remember.

The Bard and Chat are dictionary words, but the Chat is more generic and commonly used word. I have proved from the data in this video that company names consisting of common dictionary words, often lead to business failure.

The management at Open AI seems to me quite unskilled in deciding a professional brand name. Because they have not only made the mistake of including the generic word of Chat in the brand name, but they have also made blunder by making GPT as part of the brand name. GPT is acronym of Generative Pre-trained Transformer. I have already discussed in the popular Dozro video that acronyms in the company names should be avoided, because each acronym sounds like a complete word and makes the brand name difficult to pronounce.

So, I conclude here that although Bard by Google is not an ideal brand name, but the Bard brand name is quite better than ChatGPT and has better chances of success in future.

👉 Update:

Google has recently rebranded Bard as Gemini. I guess, Google might have listened to my criticism of the Bard name. Gemini is not as unique as a brand name should be - it is a dictionary word meaning “Twins” and also an astrological name.

In my opinion, Gemini is a better brand name than that of Bard. The brand name Gemini has also better chances of success than ChatGPT in future because it consists of single word. Check why a single-worded brand name is better choice. A right 👉 brand name plays important role in the success of a business.

The brand name Gemini has clarity of spellings (clear to speak) than that of Bard. Although, Gemini is longer (6 letters) but due to enough number of vowel letters (3 vowels), Gemini is easier to speak than the four letter Bard. It is fact that Easy but Long Brand is Better than Short but Difficult Name - explained in another article on Dozro website.

Please note that in this analysis, I have discussed only the single factor - the role of choosing a good name in business success. This article does not consider the other strong factors such as the upper hand of Google in data leverage through multiple services including Google Chrome, Search and Android OS.
