Microsoft Edge Reopen Browser Tabs/Window if Mistakenly Closed
Sometimes, you accidentally close a browser tab in Microsoft Edge. It is also possible that someone else in your office or at home (your child) may mistakenly close the window which becomes frustrating. → Watch Video Tutorial below.
However, Microsoft Edge provides a quick solution to restore the closed tabs.
You can reopen it by pressing following keys of your keyboard in your computer.
In Windows & Linux devices: Press Ctrl + Shift + T.
In Mac computer: Press ⌘ + Shift + t.
Continue pressing above keys to restore tabs one by one. This action can even restore the previously opened windows.
Tabs restoration is quite a helpful feature of Edge browser. It also helps to restore a window. One day a lot of tabs were opened in Edge, then I closed the browser and slept. Next day, after launching Edge, I wanted to restore all tabs of previous day so that I can resume the work exactly from where I halted it. I simply pressed Ctrl + Shift + t keys on my desktop PC and a new window opened with all the tabs of the previous day.
You can also use this feature in other programs such as Google Chrome browser or Canva.
For example, you have opened multiple design pages in Canva app on desktop. If you accidentally close a design tab in Canva, simply press Ctrl + Shift + T at once to reopen the closed design page.
