Search anything in Chrome either in Chrome address bar or Google search bar, click any search result and go to the website.
Now if you want to explore other search results, you do not need to click on the back button in browser. Simply click on the Google search engine symbol (G) inside Chrome address bar. It will open your previous search results page in the side panel.
Here you can easily click any other search result. The side panel will stay there.
You can increase or decrease the size of side panel. Just bring cursor on the border, click over there and drag the double-arrow left or right.
However, to make screen bigger, click on the ‘X’ symbol on side panel, to hide it.
You can also bring back the side panel by again clicking on the ‘G’ symbol in address bar.
Chrome Side Panel Search has these limitations.
This feature will not be available on new tab, when you right-click on search result in side panel and open it in new tab.
Side panel search feature in Chrome only works when you set Google as default search engine. Feature is disabled if you use any other search engine (such as Bing) in Chrome.
