Process to create BRAND NAME for a Restaurant

Follow the below process to brainstorm a brand name for a restaurant or any other eatery business.

Start by using some dictionary words related to your upcoming business.

• For example, if I have to choose name for my new restaurant dealing in pizza, I will take some generic words related to restaurant such as taste, meal, lunch, pizza.

• Now, here comes the creative work. Play with these words one by one and create unique brand names out of these words.

• I can add some prefixes or suffixes. For example, I can make Pizzo, PizzaX or PizzaMax Pizzetto, Pizzella, Pizzeria or, Pizzero from pizza as unique, short, and also a suggestive name for the business.

• I can also create some alliterative rhyme versions such as PizzaMizza.

• I can try some fanciful or catchy words which sound nearest to pizza, for example, Bizza, Mizza, Lizza, Dizza. Interestingly, I just learned that a BIZZA name is already chosen for a pizza restaurant in San Francisco.

• Suppose if my business is in San Francisco, I can devise PizzaSan, SFP, FrancPizza or CiscoPizza as the name of business.

• I can also try some suggestive names such as YumBites, SpicyCheese, CrustyBread.

• I can also concoct some fancy or catchy words that are even much better and scalable in my view but that requires more creative work, for example Okay9, Lozro.

• I can create a business name ‘Hosfa’ or ‘Hospifa’, by taking some letters from each word of my planned slogan ‘Hot, Spicy and Fast’ for my restaurant.

• I will continue this process until I found out some perfect brand name options for my new business.

• Now, I will shortlist the best possible brand names and then select one.

• I will search on website of any domain registrar such as GoDaddy or Google Domains and make sure that website domain name is also available for my selected business name.

• Suppose its domain name is already registered or available but at unaffordable price tag, then I will try the next selected word and repeat the process.

• Now as the last step, I will search in Google or WIPO database to find out existing brand names and try to avoid any possible trademark infringement with existing names, especially famous brand names.
